Abstract in
Bahasa IndonesiaMessage Digest 5 (MD5) adalah salah satu alat untuk memberi garansi keamanan data atau file yang dikirim akan aman dari interaksi pihak ketiga. Garansi yang dimaksud adalah MD-5 adalah algoritma kriptografi yang hampir tidak mungkin untuk dipecahkan. Dikatakan hampir tidak mungkin karena satu-satunya cara untuk memecah enkripsi MD-5 adalah menggunakan brute force, dimana dibutuhkan database untuk semua kemungkinan kombinasi yang digunakan. Karena keistimewaannya itulah diharapkan MD-5 bisa menjaga kerahasiaan data atau file yang terdapat pada mobile phone karena mobile phone bisa dikatakan sebagai salah satu media yang paling rentan terjadi pencurian data atau file. Hasil dari tugas akhir ini adalah aplikasi yang berfungsi melindungi keamanan file bertipe .doc dimana pemilik data harus menginputkan username dan password yang telah dibuat dan disimpan dalam database aplikasi agar data bisa dibaca atau diakses. Aplikasi ini hanya bisa digunakan untuk file bertipe .doc sehingga user tidak akan bisa menggunakan aplikasi ini untuk menjaga kerahasiaan data atau file selain yang bertipe .doc.
Abstract
Message Digest 5 (MD5) is a tool to guarantee the security of data or files sent are safe from third-party interactions. Warranty questioned here is MD-5 is a cryptographic algorithm that is almost impossible to solve. Said to be almost impossible because the only way to break the encryption MD-5 is to use brute force, where necessary database for all possible combinations are used. Because of its merits that are expected to MD-5 can maintain the confidentiality of the data or files on the mobile phone as a mobile phone can be regarded as one of the most vulnerable media data or file theft. The result of this final project is an application that serves to protect the security of .doc type files where the data owners need to login using the username and password that have been created and stored in the database application so the data can be read or accessed. This application can only be used for .doc type files so the user will not be able to use this application to maintain the confidentiality of the data or file other than .doc files.
