Abstract in
Bahasa IndonesiaGPS (Global Position System) merupakan suatu sistem navigasi global dengan menggunakan satelit yang melingkupi seluruh planet bumi ini. Sedangkan untuk memanfaatkan sistem tersebut kita gunakan GPS receiver, yaitu suatu alat yang dapat kita gunakan untuk mendapatkan serangkaian informasi secara geografis dan realtime dari posisi kita berada pada saat itu. Dengan kurang lebih 24 sistem satelit yang tengah mengorbit 24 jam pada permukaan bumi, maka dapat kita peroleh posisi kita secara tepat dan akurat dimanapun dan kapanpun kita berada.
Microcontroller yang merupakan suatu komponen elektronika yang dibangun melalui teknologi semikonduktor dengan wujud yang relatif kecil juga dari segi harga terjangkau, sangat besar kemampuannya dalam pengendalian peralatan secara digital. Dengan menggabungkan antara microcontroller dengan GPS receiver maka terbentuklah PPGS (Portable Position Guidance System), yakni suatu sistem pemandu posisi yang portable.
Permasalahan dari Tugas Akhir ini adalah bagaimana merancang dan membuat Portable Position Guidance System yang berbasis pada GPS dan microcontroller. Modul minimum system digunakan untuk memproses data dan menangani komunikasi dengan GPS receiver dan PC, sedangkan memori eksternal dan batteray back-up digunakan untuk menyimpan data jalan.
Hasilnya adalah dapat mengetahui posisi dari pemegang Portable Position Guidance System dengan baik.
Abstract
GPS (Global Position System) is a global navigation system using satellites that cover the whole planet earth. As for the use of the system we use GPS receiver, which is a tool we can use to obtain a series of geographically and real-time information from the position we are at the moment. With approximately 24 middle orbiting satellite system 24 hours on the surface of the earth, then we can get our position precisely and accurately whenever and wherever we are.
Microcontroller which is an electronic component that is built through technology semiconductor with a relatively small form also in terms of affordable prices, great ability to digitally control equipment. By combining the microcontroller with a GPS receiver is formed PPGS (Position Portable Guidance System), which is a portable guidance system position.
Problems of this final task is how to design and create Portable Position Guidance System based on GPS and microcontroller. Minimum system modules used to process the data and handles communication with the GPS receiver and PC, while the external memory and battery back-ups are used to store the data path.
The result is to know the position of the holder of Position Portable Guidance System with good.
