Abstract in
Bahasa IndonesiaPT Varia Usaha adalah salah satu anak perusahaan PT Semen Gresik (Persero) Tbk. yang bergerak di bidang usaha logistik barang-barang curah, bahan-bahan bangunan dan kebutuhan industri yang berdaya saing tinggi dan berkualitas terjamin. Didirikan pada tahun 1974 dengan misi awal sebagai strategic partner PT Semen Gresik (Persero) Tbk. untuk mengirimkan, memasarkan dan mendistribusikan produk Semen Gresik ke seluruh penjuru tanah air. Saham perusahaan ini dimiliki oleh Dana Pensiun Semen Gresik sebesar 49%, Koperasi Warga Semen Gresik sebesar 26% dan PT Semen Gresik (Persero) Tbk. sebesar 25%. PT Varia Usaha saat ini berkembang dan maju pesat dengan menjalankan empat bisnis utama yang terdiri dari :
1. Divisi Transportasi
2. Divisi Perdagangan Semen dan Bahan Bangunan
3. Divisi Pertambangan
4. Divisi Barang Industri
5. Dilengkapi divisi pemeliharaan yang memadai guna menunjang bisnis transportasi.
Memiliki komitmen yang kuat untuk terus menerus meningkatkan posisi sebagai mitra terpilih dalam penyediaan jasa transportasi, bahan bangunan, barang tambang dan kebutuhan industri. Perusahaan tidak hanya memperhatikan dan menghargai loyalitas pelanggan, melainkan juga terlibat dengan pelanggan untuk tumbuh berkembang, menciptakan dan meningkatkan keberhasilan bersama. Dari beberapa berita dan penjelasan diatas, maka perusahaan layak membutuhkan sebuah sistem yang menangani untuk memberi nama pada berkas dan meletakkannya pada media penyimpanan.
Sistem yang dibutukan mampu menghasilkan laporan dan mampu memberikan informasi yang dibutuhkan untuk perubahan pada suatu dokumen aktif menjadi tidak aktif serta pengarsipan dokumen tersebut. Arsip Aktif menurut International Council On Archives / ICA(1988) adalah informasi yang terekam (records) yang secara tetap digunakan untuk mendukung pelaksanaan kegiatan badan, lembaga, organisasi. Dari definisi diatas dapat disimpulkan bahwa arsip aktif mengandung unsur-unsur sebagai berikut : Informasi yang terekam berkaitan dengan kegiatan organisasi, Sering digunakan untuk mendukung kegiatan organisasi, disimpan dan dikelola oleh unit asal (unit kerja pencipta arsip). Arsip aktif harus selalu siap sedia saat diperlukan, dengan demikian hal yang terpenting dalam hal ini adalah kecepatan,ketepatan penemuan kembali (retrieval) arsip saat diperlukan.

Founded in 1974 with the initial mission as a strategic partner of PT Semen Gresik (Persero) Tbk. to transmit, market and distribute products to all corners of Semen Gresik homeland. The company's stock is owned by the Pension Fund at 49% Semen Gresik, Semen Gresik Cooperative Citizens by 26% and PT Semen Gresik (Persero) Tbk. by 25%. Of some of the news and the above explanation, the company viable requires a system that handles to name the file and put it on the storage media.
System capable of generating the required reports and to provide information needed to change a current document becomes inactive and archiving documents. Active records according to the International Council On Archives / ICA (1988) is recorded information which are still used to support the activities of agencies, institutions, organizations. From the definition above can be concluded that the active archive contains the following elements: the recorded information relating to the activities of the organization, often used to support the activities of the organization, stored and managed by the unit of origin (the creator of a work unit files). Active records should always be ready when needed, thus the most important thing in this case is the speed, precision recovery (retrieval) files when needed.
