Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia

Perkembangan teknologi informasi sangat pesat berkat lahirnya internet beberapa dekade yang lalu. Bahkan internet sudah menjadi bagian yang amat vital dalam proses menampilkan informasi. Dan saat ini internet merupakan bagian pokok yang memegang peranan sangat penting dalam proses perkembangan teknologi informasi.

Perkembangan internet yang pesat dapat dilihat dari semakin banyaknya perusahaan-perusahaan atau organisasi-organisasi yang saling berlomba untuk memasang dan menggunakan fasilitas-fasilitas yang terdapat pada internet dengan tujuan agar dapat meningkatkan dan menunjang kegiatan perusahaan atau organisasinya.

Salah satu fasilitas yang terdapat pada internet adalah World Wide Web (WWW). Kehebatan WWW tidak terbatas pada sifatnya yang hanya dapat mendistribusikan data dan informasi secara global, tetapi juga pada kemampuannya membawa berbagai jenis informasi dari berbagai media, baik teks, grafik, audio, maupun video, sehingga menjadikannya sangat fleksibel dalam menyediakan berbagai informasi bagi yang membutuhkannya. Selain itu Web juga memiliki kemampuan dalam mengolah database. Kemampuan WWW saat ini dapat mengakses hampir semua database, termasuk mengakses database pada sebuah web server. WWW dalam melakukan interaksi dengan web server menggunakan teknologi Active Server Pages (ASP) ataupun Common Gateway Interface (CGI) . Dengan adanya ASP ataupun CGI maka database yang selama ini sering digunakan pada aplikasi PC standart, sekarang sudah dapat dipergunakan pada aplikasi-aplikasi berbasis internet. Salah satunya yaitu Aplikasi Multilevel Marketing berbasis Web.

ASP sebagai aplikasi tambahan pada server Web telah memberikan peluang untuk membuat script pada halaman Web sehingga tidak diperlukan aplikasi Web eksternal. ASP sendiri seperti juga CGI bersifat server side, sehingga segala pengolahan data dilakukan di server. Tidak diperlukan browser Web khusus untuk mengakses halaman Web yang mengandung script ASP. Script standar yang digunakan pada ASP adalah VBScript, namun selain itu dapat pula digunakan JavaScript. ADO sebagai salah satu komponen ASP telah membuat script ASP pada halaman Web dapat mengakses database. Dengan adanya ADO, script ASP yang mengakses database dapat dibuat seperti layaknya suatu aplikasi biasa mengakses database tersebut.

Database yang diakses harus didefinisikan pada ODBC manager dengan menggunakan driver ODBC yang tepat. Driver ODBC untuk mengakses database Aplikasi Multilevel Marketing didapat dari Microsoft Access Driver For Windows.


Abstract

The development of information technology very rapidly thanks to the birth of the Internet a few decades ago. Even the Internet has become a vital part in the process of displaying information. And now the Internet is the main part which has an important role in the process of development of information technology.

The rapid growth of the Internet can be seen from the increasing number of companies or organizations which competed with each other to install and use the facilities there are on the internet with the aim to enhance and support the activities of the company or organization.
One of the facilities found on the Internet is the World Wide Web (WWW). The greatness of the WWW is not limited only to distribute its data and information globally, but also on its ability to bring various kinds of information from various media, whether text, graphics, audio, or video, making it very flexible in providing variety of information for those who need it. In addition, the Web also has the ability to process database. WWW current capability to access almost all databases, including accessing the database on a web server. WWW in interacting with the web server using Active Server Pages technology (ASP) or Common Gateway Interface (CGI). With the ASP, or CGI, the database which has been frequently used in standard PC applications, now it can be used on Internet-based applications. One of them is Multilevel Marketing Web-based applications.

ASP as additional applications on the Web server has provided the opportunity to create a script on a Web page that there is no external web applications. ASP itself as well as the CGI is server side, so that all data processing done on the server. Not required special Web browser to access Web pages that contain ASP scripts. Standard script used in ASP are VBScript, but they can also use JavaScript. ADO as one component of the ASP has made an ASP script on a Web page to access the database. With the ADO, ASP scripts that access databases can be created just like an ordinary application accessing the database.

The database is accessed must be defined in the ODBC manager by using the appropriate ODBC driver. ODBC drivers to access the database application Multilevel Marketing obtained from Microsoft Access Driver For Windows.
